Strip Lashes in Metro Detroit

The lash wall is one of the busiest sections in every Kelly Beauty store, and one of the hardest to choose from, because lashes look nothing in the box like they do on an eye. All four locations carry the range with the glues and tools beside them.

Choosing a style

Graduated lengths, short at the inner corner and longer at the outer, lift and elongate the eye and read most naturally. Uniform lengths give a rounder, doll-like effect. Wispy criss-cross patterns look like your own lashes on a good day; dense full sets are for occasions and photographs. A thin, flexible band is far more comfortable than a thick one.

The glue matters as much

Clear glue dries invisible and suits a natural look. Black doubles as liner and hides a dark band. Latex-free is worth defaulting to, since latex sensitivity is common and often blamed on the lashes themselves. Old glue that has thickened is the single most common reason lashes lift at the corners.

Application, in short

Trim the band to your eye, bend it into a curve, apply a thin line of glue and wait 20 to 30 seconds until it goes tacky, then place the center first as close to your lash line as possible. Waiting for the glue is the step people skip and the one that decides everything.

Reusing them

Softened removal with a little remover, peeling the old glue off the band, and storing them back in the tray turns a two-wear pair into one that lasts many wears. Pulling a strip off dry takes your own lashes with it.
