A sew-in is the most involved install a beauty supply supports, and it needs more than bundles. All four Kelly Beauty stores carry the hair and the hardware in the same aisles.

The hair

Bundles in human, remy or blend, in your texture, in enough quantity for the length you want. A bundle is sold by weight, so the same 100 grams covers noticeably less at 24 inches than at 12, which is why long installs need more than people plan for. Buy the whole set together and keep a wrapper.

Finishing the top

A closure for a fixed parting, or a frontal to part anywhere and wear the hair back. Match texture, color code and quality to the bundles, and buy in the same transaction. A mismatched closure is the most visible fault in an install and the hardest to fix afterward.

The hardware

A weaving net or wig cap for the base, weaving thread in a matching color, and a curved needle. Adhesive and remover if you're gluing lace. Sectioning clips and a rat-tail comb for the braid-down. Scissors for trimming lace.

Aftercare bought at the same time

A sulfate-free shampoo and an applicator bottle for washing the scalp along the tracks, a leave-in and light oil for the ends, and a satin bonnet or scarf for nights. Drying the roots properly after washing matters more than anything else for how the install feels by week three.
