Nail Supplies in Metro Detroit

All four Kelly Beauty stores carry a deep nail section: polish across the color range, base and top coats, press-on sets, glue and adhesive tabs, files, buffers, cuticle tools, strengtheners, treatments and removers.

For a home manicure

A file, a buffer, a cuticle pusher, clippers and a nail brush cover the tools; a base coat, colors and a top coat cover the products. The one addition worth making is cuticle oil, which does more for how hands look day to day than another bottle of color will.

For press-ons

Sets in a range of shapes and lengths, plus glue for a one to two week hold and adhesive tabs for a day or two. Size every nail before gluing, buff the shine off the natural nail, and wipe with remover so the surface is clean and dry. Removal is a soak, never a pry.

For nail health

Strengtheners for soft, bendy nails, ridge-filling base coats, and cuticle oils and treatments. Nails that peel and split are usually reacting to water exposure, acetone, coarse filing or being used as tools rather than to a deficiency.
