Cost per wear, not cost

A synthetic unit worn occasionally for a season and replaced is inexpensive per wear. A human hair unit worn most days for a year or more, washed and restyled, works out cheaper per wear despite costing several times as much up front. What synthetic does well

It holds its style through washing, which means no styling time in the morning. It costs little enough to own several. It comes in colors and finishes that would require damaging processing on human hair. For fashion colors and for a specific style you want repeatedly, synthetic is not a compromise, it's the better tool.

What you take on with human hair

Styling time, because it does not hold a set on its own. Products, since it needs shampoo, conditioner and heat protectant made for it. Care discipline, because neglect shows sooner on an expensive unit than a cheap one. If none of that appeals, human hair will disappoint regardless of what it cost.

The middle option

Blend units mix human and synthetic fiber, giving a more natural movement than pure synthetic with some heat tolerance, at a fraction of human hair prices. For a lot of people wanting a step up without the full commitment, blend is the sensible purchase, and it sits on the same wall.

It's open until 9 PM Monday through Saturday and 6:30 PM on Sunday, which makes it the usual evening stop for Warren, Center Line, Sterling Heights and the Oakland County suburbs off I-696. Van Dyke gets you there from the south, and the I-696 Van Dyke exit from the east or west.
