How the Kelly Beauty Monthly Sale Flyer Works

Rather than scattering one-off coupons, Kelly Beauty runs discounts on a monthly cycle published as a flyer. Understanding how it works is the simplest way to spend less, particularly on the larger purchases.

One price everywhere

The flyer prices apply in all four stores and on kellybeautyonline.com at the same time. There is no online-only or store-only pricing to work around, which means you can look at the flyer at home, decide what you want, and then choose between driving in or ordering purely on convenience.

What to buy when it's on

Items that keep are worth buying deep: braiding hair, wig caps, bonnets, combs, rollers, rubber bands, clipper blades and guards. So are the durables, where the saving is largest in absolute terms: bundles, wigs, clippers and flat irons.

What not to stockpile

Anything with a working life. Relaxers, color, developer and bleach degrade. Lash glue and wig adhesive dry out even sealed. Cosmetics have a shelf life and a shade that suits you now may not in a year. Buy those for the season you're in rather than for the discount.

Hearing about it first

Kelly Rewards members get sale alerts by email and text, including early access before a sale opens generally. That's worth having when a popular color or a discounted unit sells through in the first days. Joining is free and takes a name, an email and a phone number, with text alerts optional.
